An owner-operated dumpster and storage business in Nelson County, Virginia, running on a one-page GoDaddy template with no quote form. This is the rebuild that gave both services a home and a way to book.
Adam Ellinger runs Nelson Storage & Dumpster out of Afton, Virginia. Roll-off dumpsters and storage containers, both delivered from one yard, by the same person who answers the phone. He is the only dumpster operation headquartered in Nelson County.
His website told none of that story.
It was a GoDaddy website-builder template. One page. A row of stock-style photos, a "Welcome to Nelson Storage & Dumpster" banner, and a couple of service blurbs stacked under a "Powered by GoDaddy" footer.
There was no quote form. A customer who wanted a dumpster had no way to ask for one without picking up the phone and hoping someone was free.
Two distinct services were squeezed onto the same single page with no room to explain either. No dedicated dumpster page. No storage page. No service-area page. No local keywords, no structured data, no schema markup of any kind.
The site also loaded heavy. Full-size, uncompressed photos meant some pages pulled more than 10 megabytes on a single visit, slow on the phone where most people search for a dumpster.
Adam had a real business with real reviews. His website made it look like a placeholder.
The rebuild started with a two-and-a-half hour interview with Adam: how he prices, how he delivers, what separates him from the dispatch-heavy competitors in his market. Every line of copy came from that conversation, not from a template.
Eight custom pages replaced the single GoDaddy page. Dumpsters and storage each got their own page, each with its own pricing and its own path to a quote. A quote form sits on every key page, plus an instant cost estimator that walks a visitor from "what do I need" to a price range in four questions. The whole site went live on Adam's own hosting, on his own domain, over a secure connection.
Generic "Welcome to Nelson Storage & Dumpster" replaced with copy pulled straight from Adam's own words. The homepage leads with what makes him different: one person quotes, schedules, and delivers, with no handoffs.
One crowded page became eight, with a clear "pick your path" split so a dumpster customer and a storage customer each get a page built for them. Editorial layout, real reference photos, varied section flow.
Zero schema and zero dedicated pages became LocalBusiness, Service, and FAQ structured data on every page, plus a sitemap and robots file. The site scores 100 for SEO. The old domain now forwards to the new one automatically.
No quote form at all became a quote form on every key page, a contact page built around the form, and an instant cost estimator that pre-fills the request. Leads route straight to Adam.
Image weight cut 91 percent, so pages that once pulled more than 10 megabytes now load fast on a phone. The result: a 99 desktop speed score, and a perfect 100 on accessibility, best practices, and SEO. GA4 and Clarity track every visit.
